Chris is a witty and eloquent writer. Not that I don't love a paranormal touch, but I hadn't expected it from this story when I bought it so long ago. The economic issues are a major factor in the beginning of the book. (Review to be updated further). Likes boys, but is not overly obsessive like a popular heroine from a certain vampire series. James Tynion's comic is marked as a Stephen King-esque teenage horror and while there is some violence here, it is far more angsty and weird than scary.
